Knit It! - Old Knits

I learnt to knit when I was 15, some 20 years ago now. My Nan had tried to teach me when I was younger, but she lacked patience, then a school friend took the time to teach me the basics. I've knitted on and off ever since, but really worked on increasing my skills over the last two years.

When my last two nieces were born, Edie in April 14, and Sophie in October 14, I jumped at the chance to knit baby items. I hadn't thought about blogging the process back then, but I always photographed the end results.

Here's my knit archive -

Cardigan, hat and bootees in Sirdar Baby Crofter

Hat, bootees & mittens in Baby DK

Baby blanket in Sirdar Snuggly Snowflake

Blanket & hat in Sirdar Snuggly Snowflake

Short sleeve cardigan in a natural alpaca blend with a sparkle thread DK

Elf-hood jacket in Sirdar Snuggly Snowflake

Cropped cardigan in Alpaca Blend DK

Short sleeve cardigan in Sirdar Smiley Stripes DK

And finally my youngest son's request, he wanted a rainbow scarf. As soon as that was finished he wanted a matching hat with ear-flaps and dangly things. He's a fussy customer!
